Q. Do you accept custom orders?
A. It depends! If you’re in a hurry, I may not be able to accommodate your order. My main job is expedition river guiding which takes me out of my studio and out of service for weeks at a time. I will be fully transparent with you about my other time commitments and hope that we can arrange a timeline that works for both of us. I love silversmithing for the creative freedom it allows and I love collaborating with folks on custom designs. If our creative visions align, I’d be happy to make a custom piece for you. If our visions don’t mesh, I’ll decline the job and allow you to find a silversmith who is better suited to your project.
* Note: Custom orders range in price depending on the intricacy, materials, and time involved. Typically, a custom piece will range in price between $100-$300.
Q. What is your return/ exchange policy?
A. I accept returns within a reasonable time period.
If you receive your piece and decide it’s not right for you, then please contact me within 3 days.
The piece must be in its original condition.
Returns must be shipped back to me within 7 days of delivery.
Buyers are responsible for the costs associated with return shipping.
Q. Can you re-size my ring?
A. I am unable to accommodate re-sizing of rings. Please be sure to know your proper ring size before ordering.
Q. Do you do jewelry repairs?
A. If it is a piece that you purchased from me and a repair is required due to an issue with the structural integrity of my work, then yes! I will gladly do everything I can to repair or replace a faulty piece. Otherwise, no. I simply do not have the time for repair work.
Q. Where do you ship? How long will it take for my package to arrive?
A. I ship to Canada and the USA, excluding Hawaii. Once ordered, pieces ship between 1-3 business days. Each package is shipped via Xpress Post, (Canada), or Tracked Packet, (USA). These are the least expensive shipping options to include tracking and insurance. Once shipped, you will be sent a shipping confirmation e-mail with a tracking number included.
Q. How do I find out my ring size?
A. The easiest way to find out is to stop by a local jeweller and have them size your fingers. It is also common to bring a ring that you know fits well into a jeweller and ask to have it measured. If you’re unable to stop in at a shop to find out measurements, another option is to reference: http://findmyringsize.com
Q. How do I care for my jewelry?
A. Treat it kindly! Remember that stones and silver, (no matter how strong they look), will break and bend. If you don’t wish to see your pieces scratched and scuffed, then my best advice is to take it off while climbing, paddling, gardening etc. Also, avoid submerging it in natural hot springs as the sulfur in the water will likely tarnish it. The best way to clean it is with a micro fibre cloth. Avoid using chemical cleaners as they could have damaging effects on the stones and metals.
Q. Why are you not responding to my messages?
A. I am currently striking a balance between finishing a degree, guiding, and silversmithing. I put as much time and energy in as possible at my silversmithing bench, but sometimes I’m out on the river or busy writing papers. I will always try to reply as promptly as possible, but if you haven’t heard from me and it’s been a couple of weeks, I’m likely out on a river trip. Please know that I appreciate you reaching out, and will do my very best to reply soon!
Q. Why did your product page disappear?
A. I disable my product page when I am out on the river. It will appear again when I am back from trips.
PLEASE contact me if you are unhappy with a piece! It’s my intention to make pieces that people love and are excited about. If you’re not loving a piece, I’m open to coming up with a reasonable solution. It’s important to me that your experience, from purchasing and shipping to receiving your silver is a good one!
